As mentioned, each frame/ model is different, see if you can borrow some 27.5” wheels to try. I was running 26x2.4 and managed 650b/27.5”x1.9 (Panaracer Gravelking) with room to spare. It’s usually clearance with the chainstays or the seat stay bridge that causes issues, in my experience.
The new Genius can run 27.5″ tires in 2.5″, 2.6″, and 2.8″ widths, as well as 29″ tires from 2.4″-2.6″. According to Scott, “the flip chip allows us to maintain a similar BB height when switching from one wheel size to the other, which is key to keeping handling similar for both wheel sizes.”
